Mennel to Host Hiring Events in Caledonia Ahead of Key Baking Season

As we approach key baking season, Mennel is seeking 40+ candidates to join our bakery mix team in Caledonia, Ohio. Immediate openings include a variety of full-time, entry-level roles and skilled/management level jobs as well.
“This time of year, we see a significant increase in orders ahead of the holidays and key baking season,” said Tim French, Plant Manager, Mennel Bakery Mix and Foodservice. “With the increased demand for our bakery mix products, adding new team members now is critical to fulfilling orders for our valued customers.”
Open Interviews will be held on Wednesdays August 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 from 7 a.m. - noon and 1 - 3 p.m. at the Martel plant (formerly known as General Mills/Pillsbury) located at 4136 Martel Road, Caledonia. Mennel offers a competitive starting rate ($20-23.13 per hour + $1 night shift premium) for technicians. We also have Quality Assurance Technician ($22.11 + $1 night shift premium) and Maintenance Technician ($25.17 + $1 night shift premium) openings. Please note, all production team members at the Martel plant work a set two-week rotating schedule (36 hours one week and 48 the next) that includes weekdays and every other weekend off as well. Following a training period, employees will join one of four crews and work a 12-hour pitman schedule from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. (night shift premium available). Although overtime is available, it is not mandatory.
