Our history is important. Mennel Grain West Point was formed in the early 1960s by the Harrell brothers. Today, we are a key part of a fifth generation, family-owned company called Mennel.

Formerly known as Old Dominion Grain, we are conveniently located on a peninsula. The Mattaponi River and the Pamunkey River meet in West Point, Virginia and form the York River which runs into the Chesapeake Bay and then out to the Atlantic Ocean.

Known for our exceptional customer service, our team has been recognized for their willingness to stay after hours to dump a truck that’s on its way. Also, we spot empty trailers in the farmers’ fields at harvest time to help them transport the grain to our elevator.
